Nice job suze. What lens are you using to get these images? How close are you able to get to get them? Thanks. Bob

The Queen of Flowers has returned with a vengeance, thought for a while that squirl033 had kidnapped you!

Welcome back.

Suze, REALLY like number 3, well done girl!

As some one else asked, what lenses ARE you using?

And in response to a comment you asked on one of my posts, yep I can see you waving and your feet a dancing! lol

LOL Thanks for the welcome back everyonebut no, there was no kidnapping. I've been quite ill but am on the mend now and glad to be be back and able to partake of the forum. I have enjoyed everyone elses flower posts a lot though, in particular squirl's series on the dark backgrounds. I have yet to print or frame a single pic I've taken with the FZ20 but it's on my agenda for next week after seeing squirl's completed work :-)

As for the lens, #6 was just FZ20 macro mode - no lens. The others were using the Raynox DCR250. I have also purchased a 6T not long agobut for some reason I prefer the DCR250 for flowers - maybe it's due to the fact that I had it first and learned using it. (Or maybe it's that I can get up close and personal without worrying about anything jumping out to bite me! :blah

* Great orchid shot Max - I love it when you can see the variations and veins in the petals.

Love no's 1 and 2! Stellar work as usual!No.1 especially I find truly artistic and interesting. The focus on centre of flower makes it so!
I only wish I could one day take even one good shot like that!
Did you change background to black in photoshop?
The black makes the flowers truly stand out.

Suze,

Very Good Flower Macro shots...I particularly liked 2 and 3. They will look gorgeous once framed. Take my word for it. Just use a frame and border that complements the flower colors.

BTW...Have you cropped no-3...A little more of the darker background would have been great...it is still wonderful as it is...as I said it is one of my favourites.
