ran across this little crowd today while walking along a boardwalk in a local park. i didn't have my 6T with me (dammit! ) so i had to use the camera's normal macro mode... DOF sucks, but at least i got the pic. those planks are 2x6's, and the gap in the corner between them was about 1" wide, so you can see thatthese little fellas are only about the size of round pinheads with legs... but there sure were a lot of 'em!! theystarted toscatter when the FZ20 got within 2" of them...

aww how cute :-)

when i was younger i used to love going round my garden at home in the summer and searching out all the spiders that were ready to hatch.
nice shots, even without the additional lense.

yeah, you're right. lesson learned - the 6T goes in a pocket on every outing from now on! at least the FZhas enough macroability on its own to get a reasonably close shot, so i didn't miss it entirely!

These are most likely Garden Spiders (aka Cross spiders).

i think they may be those yellow orb-weavers... but then, i'm certainly no expert on spiders!
