Since this has been the driest Spring in 47 years here in Chicago there hasn't been much to shoot outside with my new FZ15 and 4t macro lens. However, since I was a nice guy and bought my wife flowers for Mother's Day, I finally had a good subject to work with. I've been reading all the tips from the experts here and have been anxious to try them out. What do you guys think of my first attempt? This is straight out of the camera - no post-processing at all. Any comments are welcome.

Thanks,
Dave

I think that shot looks great. BTW, where did you find a 4T in the Chicago area? I'm having trouble locating one.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

Propwash - I couldn't find a 4t either, so I ended up ordering one from adorama.com. Total cost with shipping was about $45.00

excellent - the exposure is bang on. I would have liked to see a bit more of one flower or the other in the frame though, probably the tulip, rather than two partials.

I like it. Anyone can snap a picture of a whole flower. Just my 2 cents :-)

Great shot. Nice colors and the photo is very sharp.

Now stop bringing your wife flowers or you will give the rest of us a bad name.
