I'm currently doing an assignment entitled, "Things on a Table" I would greatly appreciate critique on both the images and ideas. Posted are my first two images of the series. Thanks.

i like them both, however...

1st shot i dont like the exposure much, something's not clicking with me. the shadow's cool though.

2nd shot i like the idea but i would eliminate the red "calculator" and give it a greater DOF something like f/4 or something so its not so shallow.

besides that, they're both cool ideas

i think its the scratches in the table for on the 1st 1 max my eyes drew right 2 it for some reason or the location of the glasses .You might try to cast a longer shadow on the table from the glasses .

alsoi wana know how that pen prints so neatly
