waiting for my LZ1 ...

After 5 month of research, I thing this will be a good choice.

Of course, 4MB not very much but for the 17" screen , very good

no manual setings , a litle bit of purple fringing, and no EVF...

But, 240$ for 4MB - 37-222mm, IS and 240g I thing I will take a lot of pics

not a very budget because ,mhere in Costa Rica,512 SD and bateries + shipping + taxs>>> price of a FZ20

But wait for first pics... Here is a paradise for shooter

Happy to be member of the pana's family

And thanks for all of your post wich help me a lot!!!!

It's a nice 6x zoom camera with OIS. You will like it!

Glad for the comment also. I bought one from Butterfly a couple weeks back ($228 with shipping :blah for my son who just graduated from college. I'd seen a lot of comments about the noise level and also about some chromatic a., but decided that he probably wouldn't blow up any pics anyway, NeatImage is always an option, IS along with 6X optical zoom, plus a larger viewing screen in a small 'package' sold me on it. Reviewers have been 'complaining' about noise on all the Panasonics anyway, so figured it might not be any worse than what I've seen with my FZ 10.

How does it handle in low light situations? I can't remember if it suffers from the same feature that the fz-20 does. Been looking for a good camera for my wife and just can't make up my mind.

It does not have a Focus-Assist lamp, so it still is not easy to use in low light conditions.
