This happened on a tree right outside of my window.. about 20-30 feet away, I guess. I heard a loud sqauking and after about 30 seconds of it I decided to look outside and saw something I'm probably never going to see again: a hawk with a pigeon in one talon, defending its catch against 2 HUGE crows (who I see every day in my neighborhood).. all in a big city (San Francisco). Tell me what you think!

Here are the pics, all auto-leveled in Photoshop.. no other effects/editing done. I took well over 100+ pics, but a lot didn't turn out that well due to blurring and whatnot. I was at digital zoom for quite a few of them, and most didn't turn out well in that mode. Most of these that are close up to the birds are at 12x optical.

Violence in the city!!!:ak47:

I think the hawk is your typical street predator and those 2 crows are transients from the tenderloin:whack::-x:angry:............................:G

You are lucky. Usually when we see something like that we don't have a camera much less a 12x zoom.

I know, let the crows have it, then whilst they eat, take it to 'em. Then get your pidgeon back. So much for eating crow.
