Hi guys.

This is probably nothing but I just wanted to be sure. I got my new FZ20 this week and I noticed that when I adjust the aperture value, the camera makes this faint scratching sound as the ring opens and closes. Is it supposed to do that? Thank you.

I don't think there's one that Doesn't make a little noise.. It's normal. Unless it's making coffee grinder noises, enjoy the camera.. Check page 113 of your manual where it says "the lens clicks"..

Hey Tuure...Dont worry...Mine does that all the time..Enjoy the camera:|...forget the little scratching noise eminating from the camera...It is normal :G

mine does it just when moving the camera, as the mechanism reacts to changing lighting and focus. it doesn't seem to hurt anything...
