the batteries are good in both devices, i did a test flash by pushing the button, it just would not go off, is there a setting a missed?

In the past i just put it on the camera turned it all on, waited for orange light and click away, i missed some really good chots because of my problem last night.

any help would be great

thanks

Look at page 81 of the manual. Sounds like you have turned off the flash.

If, like you say you pressed the test button on the flash and it did not work, then I would think the problem is with the flash. Try shorting out the contacts on the flash with a piece of bare wire, if this doesn't work and the batteries are good then the flash is probably defective.

I agree with Darth Nooner! I used to do that all of the time, I would hit that 4 way controller dial by accident on the right (where the picture of the lightening bolt is) and it would shut the flash off. It was very annoying, but once you know about it, it is so easy to just hit it again to turn the flash back on.

Man, been there. Done that. Just like computers... look for the very obvious first. And don't panic ! Glad you got your flash back.
