These were taken with that Quantaray close-up lens I mentioned in another post on here. I took some shots with the macro mode on my FZ3 and no filter and I couldn't get nearly as close as this. All in all, he was very tolerant of me

Great shots. I like picture #2 the best. I think he likes having his picture taken!

lol...that's why I was glad I had taken that close-up lens with me even though I went looking for owls. I was able to stay about a foot away from him the whole time. Even when I was moving the camera around (it was on a mini tripod because shutter speeds were slow) he was fine. The only reason he got mad there at the end was because I think it scared him when Istood up to leave. I thought it would make a good picture so I sat back down, set the 2 second timer, and stood up again so that he'd open his mouth while the shutter was open. He was never aggressive with me though, even when I was poking around his face with a stick trying to get a big, ugly weed out of the way... :lol:
