What you are looking for is someone who ownes or has used both cameras and has shot macro/concert/etc. with both cameras. That might be hard to find.

for macro this camera does great work, specially if coupled with a good lens like the Nikon 6T. now, for low light situations(i.e. concert) i dont think its up to par because high ISO creates unacceptable noise and the camera has a hard time focusing on something far in the dark. but then again, its still a P&S camera. i'd just say get it, you wont regret it

Get a DSLR for good shoots in low light.

Here are a few pics I took at a concert a few weeks ago with my FZ20. I was using ISO400, nearly all automatic settings, though EV was around -1 or so, shutter speed was around a 30th of a second @f2.8 aperature, and image stabilization on.

and the final one. I didn`t have to much of a problem with the view finder image at that show. Setting the EV down at about the -1 setting seemed to help that situation, as well as help with over all settings. No flash of any kind was used in these shots. However, I was in a dimly lit beer joint a few weeks before and had great difficulty using the view finder on my FZ20, both the eye piece and LCD. An old friend of mine now has the Nikon D70 DSLR, with numerous lenses, and I`ve seen his pics and they are magnificent!! He has no complaints with the Nikon system. But then again, he has over $3,000 dollars wrapped up in that system! I jess be a po' boy doin' doin' da bess dat I can whit what I got. :G
