I can not get a sharp clear picture. The focus is very soft and away from the center the picture gets more and more blurry. I tried shots hand held, with a tripod, P mode and S mode and nothing seems to work. Here are some test shots I made to compare the 2020 with the C-210 and another cheap 1.5X tele I have. I was shooting from 40 feet, using a tripod using the 10 second timer and in P mode.
If I am doing something wrong please tell me otherwise I am going to I return the lens.
All shots have been cropped to 100% with no additional processing.
This first shot is with the 2020 pro.

Did you only use the tripod with the 2020? Did youturn the OIS off as is recommended when using a tripod?

I used a tripod with all the shots. I did not turn off the OIS. I will give that a try but I got the same results when I hand held each of the lenses.

I have to say that I had to look at the last photo to realize what the photos were of.. Can't judge unless I know.. A statue of a horse, Correct?? Given that (the crop may have something to do with it), on my screen, the cheap 1.5 tele shot looks the best.. At least as far as sharpness goes.

Can't help you on why the 2020 doesn't perform as well..

Here is the full image. The focus point was just below the eye. Notice how it starts to blur away from the center. I tried Fred's suggestions and tried manual focus but got the same results. I know some people like the lens but I just cant get good results with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Im not familiar with it .How does it attach to the camera ? There may be a machining flaw in the tube thats preventing you from achieving clear focus. In auto mode does the camera give you a clear focus signal(beep) ?

It has 62mm rear threads so it screws directly into the Phayee adapter. I have used other teleconverters with the phayee adapter with no problems. I am going to return it and get either the tcon 14b or 17. Thanks
