very nice shots, Gonzo! glad you like your new toy...

that first shot is terrific, imho. the clarity and brilliant colors of the flowers are beautifully offset by the soft focus in the background and the more pastel colors of the buildings... well done! that one should be hanging on your wall! :G

Nice shots Gonzo. Ditto Pappy's comment - great content on all of them.

Thanks all for the nice words...:-)

fmoore, a lot of your terrific shots helped me a lot to select the Z5, thanks for posting.

Boyzo for the moment I use P mode with ev set to -1/3 but I found that a lot of them where underexposed...it depends on the scene...I have to practice, that's what is fun with digital I don't understand what you mean by "use average metering" (sorry my english is quite limited...). Do you mean to set the metering mode to ( ) or ( . ) ?

tcook, yes there is a wall behind the houses.

jussiuk, I had to crop it like that because the file was too big, i couldn't post the entire pics sorry.

Thanks again to all, hope to progress quick. I'll post other pics soon I hope.
