I have just purchased a panasonic fz20 and would like an external flash unit.

I have seen people recommending the Sunpak 383 but was wondering if any other

flashes would suit the camera better. Hoping one will be available via ebay or here

in Australia

Flash would have to be automatically fired without a cable

Thanks

The Sunpak trio (383, 422, and 433) all seem to work equally well. I've also seen many recommendations here for the Vivitar 283/285.

Hi all

I have an FZ20 and also wanted a flash. I decided to just get a big one as the little ones i had did not bounce flash very well (neither did they bounce very well).

I got the sunpak 544 for range and power, and blinding friends. i have to admit that it is big (too big at times) but it has some nice features. I love burst mode flash, and the power to bounce flash in big rooms and long ranges.

Looking into getting a 838 for portability. what are they like compared to 544?

Thanks

I just picked up a 433 off ebay for $10.50, it works and looks new. Said it was for a Minolta only, but works great in the FZ20 hotshoe.

Nightime pictures are super easy now, and on continuous shooting, I get 3 rapid flashes everytime.

Have fun!

I just bought the DMW-FL28 Panasonic flash and so far I am happy with that. It is a well made unit but overpriced. It matches the camera very nicely.

Bought it from the "goodGuys".
