this picture was taken last Friday by my mom with my FZ20 before we headed to my high-school graduation. this picture is straight from the camera except for the cropping and resizing. why that halo effect? can anyone help :?

What flash/lighting are you using? Whatever it was, it looks like it reflected of the nice shiny white silk robe.

I agree with FZFUN , a bounce flash should have been used . Also congrats on your

i thought i hadnt used flash here, but upon looking at the EXIF i realized i did. if so, then it was the Sunpak 383 with the Sto-fen Omni-Bounce diffuser, and every portrait i set the flash at a 45 degreee angle...

so i still dont get it:?

I know this thread is a couple of weeks old but I wanted to reply anyway. It may possibly have been condensation forminginside the lens, especially if you went outside into the heat from an air-conditioned environment. Usually this condensation will go away in a few minutes. I've had it happen to me a few times with SLR lenses.

thanks. that might have been it because that day it was very hot outside and my house is always at 70F, so that could be it. thanks again.:arrow:
