FIrst I want to thank this web site a TON for helping me decide on a camera. I love this camera and for the $100 price difference I didnt need the FZ20. This is a great stop camera for the goal of a Digital SLR. I just need more practice.

I have a Panasonic FZ15, and I really do love the camera. It does everything or will let me do everything just like my Pentax K-1000. I like the 12x zoom alot. Looking on Ebay i found this Tokina 3x lens for the camera. Now I like the range this camera has, but of course I would love to be a little closer to smaller subjects. The picture included is a good example of what. HoweverI do live near the beach and also attend airshows. Closer is better when things are that small. So the question is, how goos is this lens and how much closer will it get me?

Brings up another good question. Filters are everywhere, but what filter would really help? I know that is hard to answer without knowing what I like to take piuctures of. So check out this link. Any and all comments are welcome. I am sure filters would help some of those. Thanks for any feedback.

I haven't seen much good about that lens. I was thinking about it also but after reading on the forum and looking at this article

I ended up buying a Tcon-17 for my FZ-15.

The physical properties of the lens look good. It has a nice wide front diameter of about 71mm. The back is a 52mm mount but I wonder how big the rear element is and how close the element is to the rear of the housing. If you can afford the $96.95, take a shot. [pun]. Alternately, here is my site with tests of different lenses on the Panasonic FZ10 using the Tcon14B, DCR1540pro, DCR2020pro, DCR6600 and Wcon 07. .http://lovelife.smugmug.com/Other/79692
