This is one of the best shots, technically speaking, that I've captured so far. The exposure was just right and the shot turned out exactly as I visualized it. Of course that may never happen again, but I'll keep on trying anyway.

I intended this to be a study in texture - portrayingthe similarity of the pine needlesand the grass blades,yet bycarefully limiting the depth of field, accentuating the softer texture of the pine in contrast to the finer texture of the grass.Another intentionalaspect of the compositionis the use of the pine to frame the primary subject, the grass.

You may or may not like the composition, but I'm very pleased with this shot because, like I said,it isprobably the only timethatI've been able toaccomplishexactly what I set out to portray - this is a true expression of what I saw and felt when composing and taking the shot.

And by the way, the print looks much, much better than the screen image. I used an Epson R200 with letter size photolife paper. This one will be framed.

a true accomplishment when the cam becomes the tool to portray the image in your minds eye

Nice shot pg I love the soft lighting I can see in the shot hints of love of gardening not a bad thing in this day and age

In Aus Tall native grasses are used landscaping
