Hi,

I'm really bored and have nothing to do so I will bother you all once again to post some of my macro pics... :-)

The first is a european red-bellied clerid (Thanassimus formicarius) and the second is one of Bark-gnawing Beetles - Grynocharis oblonga.
All comments apreciated!

Cheers!

Thanks for the post of these interesting beetles.

You got the focus right, but the exposure is a bit under.....

Thank you tchuanye for your comment.
Well I believe my monitor calibration is completely wrong because I have viewed my pictures on 3 different monitors and they each show different colors and brightness. I'll try something whith them on PS.

P.S. Ok I did an Auto levels, auto contrast and USM. And ran it trhrough neat image, and yes it is better but I have to adapt to such colors as these cold ones.

It's nice to see some fellow latvian here in this forum :-)

I used Panasonic DMC-FZ20 with old russian binocular's lens. (You can see it's description in this topic http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...23&forum_id=23)
The settings I used was:
Aperture F8.0
Exposure time 1/20 for ther first and 1/10 for second
Manual white balance
No flash, just a desk lamp
