Hi,

I recently bought the FZ5 and I am very happy with it. Now I am planning to go a trip and need case to carry it around.

I always have the lens adapter mounted and use an UV filter to protect the lens from dust and my kids fingers. What is a good case that provides a snug fit for this set-up.

Ideally it has a belt loop for wearing it on the hip as well.

Thanks for any suggestions

Thomas

I use a LowePro, the tag on the back says Edit 120. It is just big enuf for the camera with lens adapter attached, plus a small blocked off area that would hold something the size of a deck of cards. It has side pockets big enuf for the charger, a front pocket that can hold a pair of sunglasses, and a zippered compartment in the top that can hold lenses, spare battery, and SD cards.

It has both a belt loop (not real comfortable to use), a carry handle, and a shoulder strap.

I have actually bought a bigger LowePro now that I have some add'l lenses to tote around, but the smaller one is nice. About $19 at Frys

If you are looking for just something to hook on your belt, you might also consider the Lowepro Rezo TLZ10 or TLZ20. They won't hold much more than your camera and a battery, but may be what you are looking for.

I use a Lowepro EX160 and it works very well, but you wouldn't want it hanging off of your belt.
