Got my TCON-14B and took some flower pictures to try it out. I used 12X zoom, hand held the camera and the shooting distance was 10-15 feet. I thought they turned out pretty good. Like taking a close-up without being close up.

All three look great, very sharp. I especially love #2. Not knowing what F-stop you used, do you find that using a teleconverter aids or hinders in producing a blurred background?

I'm very impressed with the outcome

Would like to get some close up/macro lens/filter and am unsure what to buy.

What are f 5.2 f 2/8 & f 6.2?

What make are they and what is the application!

Just received my TCON 14B and WCON-08B a few weeks ago and am trying to get familiar with them.

Intrigued with the use of the TCON 14B for taking pics of flowers. Very interesting!

My gardens are just starting to flower. Plan to take many flower pics.

Have some 9000 pics of birds taken with TCON 17 and TCON-14B

From posts the Nikon 5T and 6T seem to be good. Comments please!

Thank you

STAN

Thanks all. I was trying this just for fun and to check the clarity of the lens. I was using shutter priority and a speed of 1/640 because there was a little breeze.

Hiroshi, I tried to duplicate the pictures using just the camera (not a close-up lens) and I think the background is a little more blurred when using the lens. I can't say exacty why but if I were taking more pictures and had a choice I would use the lens.

Max_Pain, look into buying either a C-210 of C-180. I think it would be worth it until you can afford something else. I have both and I just got the C-180 of Ebay for under $14.00 including shipping. Here is a shot I took with the C-180 yesterday. The shooting distance was well over 100 feet and I hand held the camera. I did do some PP to sharpen up the picture some.

Stnkline, f5.2 is the aperture setting of the lens. I have a Nikon 6t and I am very pleased with it.

I am doing some experimenting with stacking lenses and will post some examples later. That is as soon as I learn to be more organized and keep track of the shots I am taking with different configurations. When you are having fun it is easy to take to many pictures and lose track
