When you all are shooting Sports or action is there any set up that you use that is better than just using the Sports mode? How do you set up? What do you look for Etc...

I shoot a lot of sports and want to get better.

You could put it on aperture priority and set it on f2.8. That would give you the fastest shutter speeds available. I think the sports mode does that until a fairly high shutter and then starts opening the lens. It would be possible to exceed the shutter speed capabilities of the camera with f2.8 shooting skiers on a bright day at altitude or maybe beach volleyball. Not very likely though.

You do trade a little depth of focus for the higher shutter speed whether you use sports mode or aperture priority and f2.8.

I honestly don't think you can do better than sports mode. Some people think they can work some magic with manual settings, but at a given light and aperture you have only one shutter speed that is correct. And messing with manual can miss a lot of action. Aperture priority is an automatic mode. Shutter priority is a bad choice IMO unless you are a really good judge of light. If you set it too high you can exceed the camera's ability to provide enough exposure.
