Will your budget allow an FZ20?

That way you'll keep full manual settings, and a hotshoe. I am certainly no expert, but am extremely happy with my decision to buy the FZ20, over a Fuji S5500.

Cheers

Although the FZ5 has less noise at ISO400than the Z3,it still has a good bit of noise.

I can live with it but maybe you can not.

You can not get away from the noise at the price.
