Carnivals are always fun to shoot! I used to do them a lot with my 35mm gear. Try going at night, with a tri-pod, and use long exsposures to catch the colored lights of the movingrides. I used to zoom in and out, while shaking the camera, during the long exposures, and got a lot of "psychodelic" shots that way. I would try a variety of ISO speeds also. I would sometimes use a flash. I have a favorite pic on the wall of a roller coaster coming about straight down at night, taken with a strong flash, that has everbody in the ride screaming, and it`s with a black background (night) and there`s a full moon just off to the right.

Oh yeah, I once went on a roller coaster with a 35mm during the day. I sat in the back, with the lense set to wide angle, fast shutter speed, and shot with a fast film winder. I got some cool shoots that way too!

PTB Stalker, I tried a couple of night shots and they are difficult! This is the best one I could produce, but I had no tripod available, so they were all hand held.

Suze, I forgot that when I resize Irfanview strips the EXIF, so I went back and added it.

And if you like the expressions in the first one, these are even better....I went on this ride with my boys, and I love it, but it is terrifying to hang for 5 seconds 255 feet up in the air before your chair freefalls 200 feet straight down...
