okay, so here are some of the obligatory fireworks shots from last night's little bomb-fest.. :G all shot in manual mode at f8, between 2 and 3.4 seconds. ISO 100, using self timer on a tripod.

Fantabulous indeed! All of them are good. I like the fourth one best.

You know, after seeing a couple of your shots done with a timer, I tend to believe maybe it might have been the kind of fireworks let off in my city for the look of my shots ...mmm?

I live in a fairly small city, so they might not of had the kind I'm seeing on this board. Still, I did not use my timer so it must be a combination of the two.

NICE SHOTS! I go with #4 also...hehe

thanks all, for the comments. Sean, this was part of a display put on by the town i live in, near Seattle. there was a big barge parked about 200 yards off the beach in downtown, and they just sat out there and blew stuff up! :G the display was almost continuous for about 20 minutes, but because of the timer, and the time waiting for the camera to get ready for the next shot, i only got a small fraction of the actual fireworks that were expended.
