Hi, I just got my fz20 and want to try some macros, I've read the user guide at the top of the page but it does not say what size step down ring I will need when using with a nikon 6t, I'm outside of the U.S so sending back any wrong ordered itemwould be more trouble than it's worth, :?HELP!! I'd like to get it right the first time

The Nikon 6T has 55mm threads, so you'll need a 55mm threaded adapter for your FZ20. Probably the Raynox or Permaraal adapters are the best fit. Raynox has distributors for their adapters almost anywhere (http://www.adorama.com http://www.bhphoto.com and also Ebay), just google 'raynox fz20 adapter'. Permaraal has a site at http://www.b-300.com/index.html

The Nikon 6t and 5t have 62mm threads.

Sorry Rhombuss, I have a Nikon 6T and you are incorrect about the 55mm thread. The Nikon 6T has 62mm threads. Both the Pemaraal and Phayee offertheir adapter in 62mm, the Raynox does not, you are going to need a step-up ring.

Hiroshi

P.S Just noticed that desertcanuck and I must have posted at the same time. Sorry for the redundancy

Oops...that's right, 62mm - my apologies! In that case, the best bet is the Phayee adapter, which can be bought on Ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=386521992 9

The adapter itself has 62mm threads, with an extension tube/hood that has 72mm threads. Again, sorry for the mistake!
