Hi tcook,
I know its family: Raphidioptera german: Kamelhalsfliege.
This means it has the neck of a camel.
Please compare this one:

tcook, I agree with everyone else. The photosare so good, that the excellent detail gives the illusion that this is a GIANT bug. The wings and head showlots ofdetail. A job well done.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. The 6t is a good lens and you will not be sorry for getting one. I certainly enjoy mine I just don't spend enough time using it. Tchuanye, not sure what you mean by the eye is slightly off.

What I mean is OOF (out of focus)....the neck and body is focused while the eye is abit oof.
