I like this a lot better than the stock lenscap that hangs on a string...
It connects by inserting a filter, like a UV filter, into it and then screwing the UV filter into your lense adapter.

Downside it that if you have a filter with "shallow" threads, like my Hoya SMC UV, it will not screw in as far as without the lens cap. It worked for me because I had already sanded down the end of the lense adapter to allow closer access to the threads.

You can screw another filter or converter onto your UV filter with the lens cap in place, but obviously you cannot close the lens cover with additional filters in place.

And with the lense cap open.
By the way, got this at B&H, about $7 + $5 for delivery. They have it for 55mm (FZ5) and in 62mm, plus a lot of other sizes as well.
