See this - also handheld, not even rested on any surface - stabiliser really works - haze is because of cloudy conditions here, as can be seen in my other two photos.

Wow, today must be the day for moon shots!!

Very nice Raghu. #3 is especially good for a digi zoom shot - most digi zoom moons are very pixellated/blurry/noticably 'digital'. Yours doesn't have the clarity of a really good optical shot still, but it's definately the best digital zoom moon shot I've seen yet

Hello Raghu! Beautiful shot! I especially like #1. My usual reaction to shots like this: HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!! Is yours an FZ20? Try as I might, I can't seem to get enough light to compose a moon shot that captures clouds, trees, etc. With the unbelievable full moon we've had the past couple nights, it's driving me nuts. But resultslike yours inspire me to keep trying. Keep them coming!

In an act of desperation, I used the onboard flash:

Thanks for the comments. The first one was at f2.8 with 1/2 sec and the second was at f4 with 2 secs. However, you may observe, both pics compromise on the sharpness of the moon. ELC has done an excellent job (see "moonlight" in this forum) with 1/650 secs. Mine is FZ3.

Great shot on #1. I love the brooding sky and the hint of thetwo palm leaves at the bottom that help to frame the picture. Wonderful composition Raghu.
