Just walked arround in the late afternoon to test my new closeup equipment.
It was a nice day for all of us: the bugs, the ants and flowers.....

No fred as I said: canon 240d, it is an old lens. 10€ ebay !!
(http://www.angelfire.com/ca/erker/closeups.html 1998?
Canon Germany´s sales catalog still lists the 240 (+4.2) and 450 (+2.2) achromatic closeup lenses in 52mm size)

The 250d is the successor.
The flower is the wild carrot. The bugs are quite small.
Rhagonycha fulva, 7-10mm
FZ5 full zoom, F=8, 4,2 diopt., no tripod, rapid balloon bouncer, eye-cup as shown here:

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...amp;forum_id=7

These are the first results. Have to get used to the DOF. The flower was moving in the wind and the bugs too. Could not use a tripod.
Next week my olympus life size arrives: 7,7 diopt., this is similar to the dcr250.
This will be challenging! But if I stop drinking coffee my hands will not tremble......

.... and the olympus story continues here:

I made some big mistakes in my early days.
(I should read more carefully!)
The lens used in this thread was:
canon 240 (+4 closeup lens) not!! 240d =achromat
So take this as a test of nomal closeup lenses.
