Thanks for the continued interest in ir. I don't think it's going to go away. Pany and others should consider the ir option on new cameras - somehow remove/temporarily disable the internal ir blocker.

Nancy - Still hanging out here. More ir including recent stuff at http://www.ishots.net/infrared/index.htm

ascaria - Nice well composed shot. Did you try red/blue color swap on that?

Nice shots. I have the FZ1v2 and use it quite a bit. It's interesting that the Nikon D70 does IR. Here's one with the Hoya IR.

Thanks Fred, her hair was died so it was reflecting some weird blue waves, so when I did the channel swap it looked really weird. I just liked the B&W cause it adds to the mood. I'm glad I haven't dumped the FZ1 cause it is a lot of fun. Did you use a wide lens in addition to the R72?

I did use the the dcr6600 onsome shots (I think neither of the two posted above) but it causes a bit of vignettingdue tothe ir filter and 55-52mm step ring placing it further from the camera lens. I think the 5th shot at the gallery was with the wa.

It sure does! Wonderful shot! Excellent detail. Apparently the larger sensor in the D70obviates the need for an internal ir blocker. I wish they could find a way for the smaller non-DSLR sensors to handle ir. I wonder if the lack of interest (ergo, no marketing advantage) has something to do with it.
