Thanks much for all the replies! I think I agree, the pics do look better without the soft edges (wish i could find the original of the flower). I do howver like willows frame.

If I could get an answer to one more question?

How do you take long exposures of moving water in daylight. It was hard enough to get the one i got and that was just with diffused light coming in through a window (albeit a large window). It took a couple of tries before i got the one above which wasnt over exposed. thanks again!
