Hi All, These were taken on several visits to the rookery. Cattle Egrets came to South America from Africa around 1880. They then came to Florida around the 1940's. They are often seen in pastures hunting insects. They sometime can be found in the northern states and Canada. Hope you like these. bentleysmom

B.M. You've become quite an accomplished photographer.

#1 is good.

I love #2, the position of the bird in relation to the tree branch is very creative. The lighting is soft and perfect for a very pleasant composition.

#3 is also excellent. I love the regal stance and how the filtered light illuminates the birds crest and front part of its body which is beautifully contrasted by the defused dark green background. In this picture the bird is the star, after all the spot lite is definitely on him. Great job once again. You managed to maintain tremendous detail without any hint of washout.

Hi all, I'm appreciate of all the nice comments. It's so nice that you all are enjoying the pictures. That'swhat it's all about.Everyone on this panasonic forum has been so helpful and you all are so knowledgable.....the pictures are a result of y'alls help. and I really mean that. There are going to be good days and bad days.....and I still have a long way to go.....but I'm learning.....
