What the heck are you talking about?? Who's stealing and cheating? B&H? What is this? All I said was I was going to take the camera for a test drive and then decide whether I want to "purchase" the FZ5.Since it would be a big hassle to order it online and then return it, it makes sense topurchase it from your local store to test it out. Ther is nothing wrong with doing this and so get off your high horse.

Sorry, said B&H, meant Ritz.

In any case, if you are borrowing or renting the camera, that's OK and sorry I misunderstood.

However, you gave the impression that you were going to buya newcamera and then return it to get a free test drive at the store's expense, that's definately NOT OK.

Not quite sure what point theabove post is making. The condition appears to emphasisethat a camera should only be returned if you are NOT satisfied with it.

Here in the UK, there is a growing concern for the number of high street shops that are closing because people are visiting for advice etc but actually buying on-line.

Anyway, in answer to the thread, I would not hesitate to fully recommend the FZ5.I have owned several cameras and believe that this is my best buy in terms of performance and compactness.

I recently found myself in a low light situation and the camera took a very usable picture at a speed of 1/13. I noted that the ISO had gone to 200 buteven when I cropped the result and had it printed at 7 x 5 and 8 x 6, the picslooked fine in my album. There is some noise when viewed on the computer screen but this is not seen in the prints.

have a look here for capability http://www.btinternet.com/~norm.smith/PHOTOFZ5.html

You never intended to buy anything from Ritz, so yes you did cheat them and you did steal their time and resources.

If you do not understand this just pretend that somone did that to you and see if you still feel the same

I have no connection whatsoever with Ritz, but I do have some moral standards

If you don't see anything wrong with a "test drive", I suggest that you be honest with the manager at Ritz regarding your reason for returning the camera.
Let us know when & and at which store you will be, 'cause I would love to be there to hear the conversation.
