After tchuanyes great photos and after all this talking about tiger beetles I decided to post my photos of tiger beetle (Cicindela maritima in this case). I actually don't like these pictures, because there was very bright sun and because of that really sharp shadows appears in these photos. And I don't like these shadows. :-)

I wonder if you could have used the flash and gotten rid of the shaows?

What tcook suggest would work. The flash would remove the shadow.

well, this is my personal opinion:
I like shadows (though I cannot shoot faster than my shadow..) and I hate flash!
These pictures would be flat without shadows.
Thanks for the pictures, I just started to search for theses animals in my books.
