I have recently got into this home recording studio thing, and its lots of fun. I play the guitar a little and am trying to learn to sing (lol).

Here is a link to a song I just got finished righting. Its still rough around the edges, and my singing sucks, but It's not a bad song for an amiture like myself.

And here is a pic of my mic's and guitar.

. What is your setup? Are you using a special sound card or just the generic input jack? What software?

Wow. Thanks everyone. I just started getting into home recording. I am totaly new to all this stuff. I never even sang (except to myself) before.

I got a Lexicon Omega Home Studio...

http://www.lexiconpro.com/Omega/index.asp

A MXL 990/991 condensor mic kit (one formy voice and one for my guitar)...

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...ase_pid/273166

and am using Sonar Home Studio

http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/HomeStudio/default.asp

This is only the third time I ever recorded myself, and am still trying to learn to use my voice. Hearing my own voice realy sucks. I hear that's normal, so I guess I have to get used to it.

Thanks again. You people are great.

Thanks willow1. I am using Sonar Home Studio 4.0.1. It's made by Cakewalk.

Here is the link...

I'm using a Lexicon Omega Desctop Recording Studio. It has 2 MXL mic inputs that include phantom power for condensor mic's, 4 line inputs, MIDI in/out, and a bunch of other stuff. You can record 4 inputs at the same time, and if you record both mic inputs on the same channel, I think you can record 6 at once. It's only $299.00.

I also got a MXL 990/991 Condensor Mic Kit. It has 1 large and one small condensor mic. I use one for my guitar and one for my voice. The kit was only$99.00.

And I play a Fender DG-100 Acoustic. It was $299.00. It is a great sounding and well built guitar. I could not believe it for the price.

I just do this for a hobbie so I did not want to spend a fortune on stuff.
