corcoj...and vIZnquest...thanks for your feedback. Here are a couple more picture with the same focusing issue.

The first shot was using auto focus...and it ended up focusing on the glass barrier...the second shot was taken using manual focus again

This is a so so shot of an eagle...this was a tough one to focus on because of the distance but it came out decent considering I had a few seconds to snap this one before it flew away.

I am curious as to why in certain shots the bars are visible and in others its almost like it doesn't exist. I know it must have something to do with the DOF but I think most of these shots were taken A= f2.8...so then why the difference? If anyone can illuminate, I would be grateful.
