Glad to see someone else where I was for a long (long) time. In the end, I did choose the FZ30. Granted, for specific types of shots a DSLR can't be beat. But, in the end, I really really want a camera that can shoot with as little pre prep as possible. No changing lenses, zipping open compartments on the camera bag....fumbling and always being mindful of what part I put where...etc. etc. A N D you better believe that size matters. It can be the difference between going out to have a nice days shoot, or giving it second thoughts if you find the camera too much to easily handle when you're out and about for hours at a time.
