Took this at the Arch in St. Louis. Sky was blue til I PP it in PSP 9.

This is a case in which I like the noise in the (cloudy) sky: it adds a cool dramatic touch. Congratulation for this shot and PP.

Undoubtedly the grainy effect was achieved sharpening the image: yet in doind that the edge of the arch has produced aliasing and the jpg compression artefacts have made it even worse.
So in PP you should have "undone" the effect of sharpening filter o the perimeter of the arch (Photoshop undo brush) or you should have masked that area from sharpening effect.

Wonderful shot! At first I thought I was looking out an airplane window through the clouds down to the ground with this strange wing configuration. Very dramatic.
