Such manipulations usually fail. Your Blue Dress, Angel is good. I'm sure it could be better. But its well, it made me come back and view it again. Then the family came over on their own, no coaxing. Here we are staring away. Then came the comments amongst us. That doesn't happen around here often, except for our own ocassional good ones, of course. Thanks for sharing a well done hard to pull off right photo with us.

King Monkey .. I like it and it does work. Usually, the colour + b&W don;t look too good but this one does.

I love the blue dress and the contrast between that figure and the background. I don't know if it's just my monitor, but the background appears to have an odd greenish tint that does not, in my view, enhance the photo. I would probably like a straight b&w background. Like I said, though, maybe it's just my monitor.

Im with you on that Ladyhawk, im new to using photoshop and didn't know how to change the background to B&W while retaining the girl in colour.
