nice photo. usually shots of the moon taken at such a long exposure (1/15 sec) show little more than a brilliant white spot.i've had similar results, but at 1/200 sec or thereabouts at f8, using my FZ20 on a tripod. your image seems relatively large... were you ausing digital zoom, or perhaps a teleconverter?

I also took some moon shots a couple of days ago. Was wonderingifwe can push the limitfurther without adding tele lenses. I really want the craters to be crisp.

* Set on tripod

* Turn off Image Stabalizer

* Use Tiff

* I removed my UV filter but not sure if that was alright.

* Max Zoom, but experiement withdifferent f stops and shutter speeds

Anything else?

I was in the city, so maybe go somewhere remote and higher elevation?
