great shots... especially #2! i love the colors! they're seldom that brilliant around here... did you tweak the saturation or hue at all?

Thanks all for the comments. I took the pictures from a cruise ship that had sailed out of Seattle and it had rained earlier in the day. Both pictures were of the same sunset just shot at different times. The first one the sun was setting behind the tip of an island and for the second the ship had sailed past the island and the sun was setting over the ocean.
squirl033, The pictures are straight out of the camera except for re-sizing and a little focusing. I do sometimes play with metering the light entering the camera to enhance the colors. Although, without any enhancement this was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever witnessed.
