LOL! thanks for having them sand that early Spit to matte... that's a pretty early model, it doesn't have the "Malcolm hood" used on many mid-war models (until the bubble-tops like the first pic... ). nice to see those old warbirds being preserved. any "Hurries" or Bf-109's in the exhibit? Most people think of the Spitfire when they think of the Battle of Britain, but it was the humble Hurricane that bore the brunt of the Luftwaffe's attacks, especially early on before the Spits reached full production...

the P-51D looks very nice as well... it was probably the best "all-around"piston-engined fighter ever built as a production model... thankfully the German TA-152 never made it to production, because it would've eaten Mustangs for lunch!
