Hi,

After seeing great pictures of splashes, I decided to try it myself. It didn't get very well, but atleast I got the idea how it's done, and actually it isn't that hard after all. Will have to try it with more coplicated method, than just a bowl filled with water.

Taken with FZ20, no added lenses. Cropped, cloned out some bright spots form flash (should also crop that black spot), taken at 1/1000, onboard flash.

P.S. - Doesn't it look too noisy for ISO100?

That's not a bad image at all for your first go at it. Keep going for it. The splash thing looks like a really interesting domain in abstract photography.
