Who said the DCR1540 with a 52mm mount was soft around the edges? Not with this configuration. All it needed was some TLC andthe DCR1540 brought closer to the FZ30 bezel. The CRing adapter had it 2.84mm on the FZ10, 15 and 20 and you could see the softness. The fz30 with the standard 55-52step-down ring positioned 4mm from the front was worse. Glued with silicone into a 55-58 step ring and it is a contender with a.98mm distance to bezel

What do you think? This was done on an overcast day. F4 ISO 100 @ 250sec.

The focal length reported by the FZ30 is 444mm x 1.54 =684mm



This a corner crop much bigger then you will ever need.

45 - 60 days TRing will come with 55mm screw on cap. about $15.00.
