Hi,

Was looking through my pics and found one wich I wanted to show you - the only venomous snake in my country - common viper (Vipera berus). Last year I could observe this snake in the same place every morning, but this year I saw it in that place only a few times.
Taken with FZ20 - full frame - no cropping.
Would love better background though, but with FZ20 It's impossible to blur backrground wich is so close to the object - even at 12x zoom and F2.8.
All comments apreciated!

:-) Yes, that's the way I would love to see this pic. Thanks geenece for looking and putting your time into editing!

The markings on the snake look a lot like a rattlesnake! Also a good one not to get too close to!

Beautiful picture of the viper and you're certainly a BRAVE man to get so close!

Nice photo. Here's my attempt at a fake DOF.

Hi C.,
I am more disturbed by these intensive colours.
So here is fake DOF (rettysnitch), fake backgroud colour - I like B&W better!
My snakes used a better background, my last common viper curled along the beach in denmark close to the waterline. Nobody expected them there, but there was enough food lying around.
