beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! especialy first one. I need learn a lot it takes years.... Yes it takes me a long time . but it's possible !!! I was trying caouple of times but my are not sharp. I sow pictures from canon 20D and there are like yours (first one )!!

tiger98, thanks for sharing the photos, nice shoots .
For the plane speed at 300 to 400 mph, you can freeze them at shutter speed 1/1000. Seem I don't need high speed camera such as 1/4000.

but in this case I need really good light I need wait for summer . Thank you for advices.

Are you ussing one point autofocus?

I have just looked for Exif of her photos (canon 20D). F6.1, 1/2000, iso 400, 300mm. It's still possible for Fz30. Technicly . Some of them F10, 1/500, iso 200, 300mm, also.I will ask her for permison during weekend to publish this picutersand I will show you how it's looks like . She is not cropping her pictures (full 8Mpix) you can see pilot helmet or read his name on the plane (300mm). For me it's GOOD. I realy need to wait for summer and good sun, now is to cold stay near to air port and wait for plains

Why would you want to take pictures of airplanes at F6.1? This doesn't let much light in. Is it a compromise for DOF?

Circuit City has 5 hour sales during the middle of the day and issues 15% off coupons periodically. FZ30 comes to $480 shipped [plus state sales tax].
