Will, I had my FZ30 set for shutter priority, (for the fast flying aircraft), at 1/1000sec and it selected F6.3 for the aperture. Jim

Yikes I haven't been over here since I made that post sorry. I picked up the TCON14 not to be confused with the TCON14B a few years ago on ebay but you can get them now for about 60 or so bucks. I picked up the B300 same as the TCON17 for about 100 bucks... Check out my website for more info on them both: http://www.angelfire.com/ar/thecameranutjwb/

Now here's one of my examples of the 12x zoom in the FZ30.
This first shot is at 1x.

I must say the Panasonic 12x optical zoom out classes evrything else on the market in this price range, IMO. J

Back on page 2, some of you guys were talking about the Mega IS. I'd just like to state that I've taken some pretty clear shots with my FZ10 at late dusk at 1/8 and even 1/4 second, HANDHELD, just bracing on something, or standing as still as possible...

Not PERFECT shots, mind you, but clear enough, considering... Try THAT with ANY camera that DOESN'T have very good image stabilization!

I can't WAIT to see how my new FZ30 does when it arrives (just ordered from Beach Camera last night).

My biggest dilemma now is... Do I sell the FZ10 (could really use the money to help pay for the FZ30), or keep it as a backup?

Even though I have a spare battery for it and it's in like-new condition, I don't think I can get more than about $200 for it, and I actually paid Beach Camera $6 MORE for the FZ10 22 months ago than I just did last night for the FZ30!

Ack! Decisions, Decisions!
