Hi Jim,
hummingbirds have a size from 6cm to 25cm (Patagona gigas).
So an average hummingbird has a similar size!

Klaus: I guess in Bielefeld there are only "Sommergoldhaehnchen", but they are fast and they can almost hide themselves behind some butterflies!

never knew such neat little creatures exist. Part of what makes this forum a joy.
Many of us were awed by them.

WOW nice pics!!!, drooling over my keyboard!

vey nice bird shots! i'm relatively new to birding and photography with my Fz5+ Tcon 17 combo.

Love your close up shots? can i ask u to reveal some of the settings? still working on my stalking skills on birds haha
