What you want to do is resize the photo and not crop.

In photo shop you would go to Image > image size > (First make sure that constrain porportion is checked and resample image is also checked) >and change the size to something like 10 inches on the long side.



Then save the picture as "filenamerresized" (1000034resize.jpg)

Also if you use XP get the image resizer from their Power toys page it is the slickest resizer I ever saw. If not there are other resizers available.

So I tried changing the size of the original through photobase and was able to do it. Thanks again for the advise.
