I am going to have to look at a gallery one day myself. I like the way some use the thumbnails to go the picture. To much to learn for an old dog.

Hey tcook,
Freds, Johns and Francescos way is very easy - even for old dogs.
You need a provider like zoto who generates galleries.
Like this one:
http://sgsg.zoto.com/galleries/mixedbirds
You move your pointer just above the upper left thumbnail.
Click the right mouse button and move the pointer to the lower left corner.
All thumbs turn blue in my browser.
Click the right button again in this marked area and choose: copy (crtl c is faster)
Open an edit window in steve's and press: crtl v
All the thumbnails with their underlying links will move to this window! This is the way used by Francesco (narmer).

Try it, you don't have to send this test .

this method is described at the end of my thread:
http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=23

Sorry John, of course I like your picture!

Sven can you post an example code for a thumbnail which links to the image
enlcose in bracket to disable it working or something

I dont get your mouseing over the gallery thumnails to work at all right click does nothing in firefox.

What does work is CNTRL left mouse click over a thumbnail and blue box appears around the to the you can copy properties.

One problem is dialup is so slow at doing things it takes alot of time and the forum is slow as well

Unfortunately I cant have broadband here

Glad you liked the capsicums ;-)

Hi John,
alt and left mouse click to mark single pictures is ok?
The zoto gallery frame is tricky, start the left (!) mouse click outside the picture frame, move across the frame and stop clicking.
Transfer all blue pictures to a previously opened steve's edit window (by crtl c and crtl v). You can sort and delete single pictures in the edit window, this can be done offline!
I tried this with mozilla and IE. - illustrated example: groynes thread
http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=23

this is the code generated by cutting and pasting the thumb from a zoto gallery:

(href="http://sgsg.zoto.com/galleries/mixedbirds/detail/3/" target="_blank"><img)
(src="http://sgsg.zoto.com/img/230/d6f97bb26bfa5232d4d737cca5bac33d-.jpg" border="0" alt="">  </a><a)

Here is the source generated by my little excel experiment:
(01<a href="http://sgsg.zoto.com/img/original/7f19b2094935b1528b6e4c8ebd44105a-.jpg" target="_blank"><img)
(src="http://sgsg.zoto.com/img/230/7f19b2094935b1528b6e4c8ebd44105a-.jpg"style="border: 4px solid ;" alt="img01.jpg" title=""></a>

../img/230 makes square thumbs
../img/25 or ../img/20 makes normal thumbs

Please don't generate code with full pictures, only resized by width and hight parameter, this is slow and makes no sense!
Normal thumbs will have a size of 2 to 20 kB. these ones: 3,4 and 7,4 kB.

230 25

good luck
Sven
