Last night, Vincent Fournier, aka, the 57 year old rock legend, Alice Cooper performed in town. I took the FZ20. The shortcomings of the Lumix in low light conditions were quite evident in the concert environment. Nevertheless I did manage to get a few shots I was happy with. Most images were shotat full manual,ISO 200, F2.8 @ 1/60.

Welcome to my nightmare: the show begins:

Great shots, exp for indoor and low light w/ the fz20. I'd be really happy with these.

I've loved Alice Cooper's music for over 30 years. And I'm glad that he and others like Ozzie can still make a good living rocking and rolling.

Your low light level shots looked like they turned out very well! Alice has a bar/resturant here in Phoenix and also resides here as you probably know. Here's a shot of one of his delivery doors with artwork on it. The first shot is as it came from the camera, FZ30. The second is after it was cleaned up a little in Photoshop CS2. Jim

How did you manage to take those pictures ? Don't they usually ban cameras from events like that ( copy right ) ?

The flash range for FZ20 is quite limited. The photos we see in magazines are taken by professionals with the most advanced cameras and who get much closer to the performing artistes than the audience. Considering this, I feel your shots have come very well. It would be useful to compare the same scenario with other cameras too.
